The Challenge
The client is a United Arab Emirates real estate company working with buyers and investors across property search, investment and advisory services.
The project started with zero recommendations across the target LLMs. Competitors were already appearing across the same real estate, investment and advisory queries, while the client had no measurable recommendation visibility.
The work therefore covered both the company's own digital presence and the external sources influencing AI answers. AI search monitoring was used to understand where competitors were being recommended, what information supported those recommendations and what the company needed to change across its content, pages and external visibility.
The Baseline
The monitoring was built around 150 unique prompts, tracked across six target AI models with focus on ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.
The analysis covered:
- Brand recommendations across priority real estate queries.
- Competitor mentions and recommendations.
- Services and topics associated with competitors.
- Pages used in AI answers.
- Third-party sources supporting recommendations.
- The company's own content and service coverage.
- External visibility around the company.
The first monitoring found zero recommendations for the company. With no existing brand visibility to analyse, our team used competitor and source data to understand what was supporting the companies already appearing in the answers.
The analysis showed that competitor visibility came from different combinations of owned service pages and third-party sources. These findings shaped the GEO strategy across page creation, content updates and external visibility.
What Was Done
1
Ran AEO / GEO monitoring
A library of 150 unique prompts was monitored across six target AI models. The monitoring tracked whether the company was recommended, which competitors appeared instead, which topics they were associated with and which owned or third-party sources appeared in the answers.
2
Analysed competitor and source visibility
Our team compared competitor visibility across different services and traced the sources supporting those recommendations. Some competitors were supported by dedicated pages around specific real estate services, while others continued to appear through third-party sources even when their own websites were not used in the answer. This showed where the client needed stronger owned content and where external visibility also needed to be developed.
3
Created 35+ new pages
35+ new service, landing and content pages were created around the company's priority real estate services, audience needs and search topics. The work expanded the number of relevant pages through which the company could be discovered and associated with specific real estate queries.
4
Updated 50+ existing pages
50+ existing pages were updated to improve their content, positioning and coverage of the topics identified through monitoring. The updates connected the company more directly with the services and questions where competitors already had stronger AI search visibility.
5
Used monitoring to shape the GEO strategy
Our team combined the monitoring, competitor analysis and source research to prioritise the next areas of work. The strategy focused on expanding service-specific content, improving how the company's expertise was represented across priority real estate topics and increasing its presence across relevant external sources.
6
Expanded external visibility
External visibility work ran alongside the owned-content work to increase the company's presence across relevant third-party sources. The focus was on building stronger connections between the company, its services and the real estate topics already appearing in AI-generated recommendations.
7
Repeated the monitoring
The same priority areas continued to be monitored as new pages, content updates and external visibility work were implemented. This allowed changes in recommendations, competitor visibility and source usage to be compared between monitoring rounds.
HIGH LEVEL OUTLOOK
From Zero Recommendations to Visibility Across Multiple LLMs
The initial monitoring found zero recommendations for the company across the target LLMs.
The work then addressed the gaps identified through monitoring: 35+ new pages were created, 50+ existing pages were updated, service coverage was expanded and external visibility was developed around the company's priority real estate topics.
In the latest monitoring round, the company had moved from zero recommendations to being recommended by four of the six target LLMs.
The project is ongoing. The current result reflects the change between the initial and latest monitoring rounds, with the programme still in progress.
AEO / GEO Strategy
The strategy connects the company's owned content with the external information used in AI-generated recommendations.
Service pages. Create and improve dedicated pages around the real estate services and questions where the company wants to appear.
Content. Develop and update content around the topics and recommendation scenarios identified through monitoring.
External visibility. Increase the company's presence across relevant third-party publications cited by AI and sources appearing in AI answers.
Monitoring. Continue tracking the same priority queries across the target models to measure changes in recommendations, competitors and sources.
Current Focus
The company is now being recommended by four of the six target LLMs, compared with zero at the start of the project.
The current work continues across new and existing pages, external visibility and AEO / GEO monitoring, keeping track of the target audience's preferred LLMs, with each monitoring round used to identify where the company is gaining visibility and where further work is needed.
In the latest monitoring round, the company had moved from zero recommendations to being recommended by four of the six target LLMs.
